Countdown

Packing has officially started and the countdown is on! University and exams are over, work is finished and with the exception of Jason (who is working on Tuesday).

We are so excited to be heading to Canada, this trip has been two years in the making waiting for James and Jen to both be at University at the same time and having four weeks of time off.

Accompanying us on this trip will be a GL.iNet Beryl 7 travel router. This will allow us to simply connect a single device to hotel Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot and then share that connection with all our other devices. With the Beryl 7’s built-in VPN support, we can also ensure that our internet traffic is secure and private while on the road. We are looking forward to testing it out and sharing our experience. While it is small and light, it is possibly the ugliest colour ever used in the manufacturing of hardware. To keep it safe and protected, we’ve 3d printed a case (in black) that will ensure it doesn’t get damaged in transit.

Family on rock

This theme comes with the @astrojs/mdx integration installed and configured in your astro.config.mjs config file. If you prefer not to use MDX, you can disable support by removing the integration from your config file.

Why MDX?

MDX is a special flavor of Markdown that supports embedded JavaScript & JSX syntax. This unlocks the ability to mix JavaScript and UI Components into your Markdown content for things like interactive charts or alerts.

If you have existing content authored in MDX, this integration will hopefully make migrating to Astro a breeze.
